Raymond Feist - Bestselling Author Of The 'Riftwar' Saga

Raymond Feist, best selling American author of the 'Riftwar Saga' now currently spanning over 27 books (as of the last release - At The Gates Of Darkness) But who is this author? Ray started playing Dungeons and Dragons through friends whilst attending University in San Diego, yet around the time these friends were not quite fond of the 'rules' in the books, so decided to create their own realm and introduced their version of 'house rules' of game play. Not long after he wrote 'Magician' about an orphan boy who accidentally comes across aliens from another place in the universe, whom decide to wage war on his town. The first book has places that originate from the modified game world his friends played, yet it is also set 500 years prior to any events they played. Over the last 30 years, the saga has expanded to 27 books, two computer games, a few comics (some still in the works) various and one 'official' website and recently an online MMO text based MUD. The books are sold in excess of 15 million copies in various languages. This series will most likely become one of the best fantasy fiction series for a long time to come. If you are a fan of reading David Eddings, JK Rowling, or even Tolkien, you will certainly come to appreciate this saga.

If one has a liking of medieval or adventure fantasy settings for novels, this is a great author to read. A plot that crosses over 27 books is a staggering feat in itself.
